Risky Business: Island Boys

The Oilers really need to win this one, don’t they? Not that are any easy games in the NHL, that’s not what I’m saying, but I absolutely feel like the Islanders are the team that the Oilers need to beat on this road trip. That said, the boys are playing such inconsistent hockey right now that it makes betting on them almost impossible, and that’s why I’m taking a much more cautious approach for the rest of the road trip or at least until they look like the ship is turning around.

If you’re following along at home, the odds I’ll be using for my game day betting articles all season come from Betway. Here’s what I’m putting down against the Islanders:

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins to score at +225. My $5 bet would return $16.25.

Over 1.5 total power play goals. My $5 bet would return $10.50.

Connor McDavid to score and the Edmonton Oilers to win at +300. My $5 bet would return $20.00.

Carolina over Arizona on ML, Washington over Philly on ML, and Dallas over Chicago on ML at 2.42. My $5 bet would return $12.14.

Killed again and my bankroll is hurting because the Oilers just cannot pull it together. Brutal run for your boy right now.
