Risky Business is brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
No matter how you slice it, the Edmonton Oilers are red hot down the stretch and I think that’s bad news for teams like the San Jose Sharks that are simply playing out the string. With three games left on the season — and two against San Jose — the Oilers have a golden opportunity to collect points that they’ll need to secure home-ice advantage. Right now, the Oilers are playing some of their best hockey of the season, and I think that bodes well for making a few dollars on the game. One thing I won’t be doing today, however, is expecting as much offence as we’ve seen over the last month or so because I got greedy against the Ducks and it bit me in the ass.
If you’re following along at home, the odds I’ll be using for my game day betting articles all season come from Betway. Here’s what I’m putting down against the Sharks.

Player Prop:

Evan Bouchard to register an assist at +140. My $5 bet would return $12.00.

Easy Money:

Oilers over 36 shots on net at -134. My $5 bet would return $8.75.

Risky Business:

Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl both to score at +200. My $5 bet would return $15.00.

Can’t Miss Parlay:

Edmonton over San Jose on the money line, Pittsburgh over Detroit on the money line, and NYR over Columbus on the money line at 2.89. My $5 bet would return $14.47.

RISKY BUSINESS PRESENTED BY BETWAY

Last Game

I got greedy. I really did. As much as I loved watching the Oilers beat the Anaheim Ducks, I was expecting a lot more goals than what we got and that made for a tough evening of betting.
  • Ryan Nugent-Hopkins to get over 1.5 total points at +105.
  • Edmonton to win and over 5.5 total goals at -138.
  • Edmonton to win, Over 6.5 total goals, and Leon Draisaitl to register 2+ points at +175.
  • Edmonton Oilers to win on the money line and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins to register 2+ points at +137.
And there you have it, friends. Now that you know what I’m betting on — I’ll be throwing one unit down on each bet, for the record — feel free to hit me up in the comments section to let me know what you’re looking at against the Sharks.
