Risky Business is brought to you by NHL Odds site Betway!
Does it make me wrong to believe that there’s no way the Oilers could possibly be as bad tonight against the Capitals as they were on Saturday against the Stars? From the crease outward, the entire team was anything but spectacular, and that’s why I truly believe in my heart of hearts that there’s nowhere to go but up from what we watched two days ago. That’s not to say that I plan on better foolishly today — in fact, I’m going to be quite conservative — but I’m also an optimist and hope that there were lessons learned after such a crushing defeat. Dare to dream? We shall see.
If you’re following along at home, the odds I’ll be using for my game day betting articles all season come from Betway. Here’s what I’m putting down against the Capitals:

Player Prop:

Leon Draisaitl to register over 3.5 shots on goal at +120. My $5 bet would return $10.25.

Easy Money:

First period over 1.5 total goals. My $5 bet would return $8.25.

Risky Business:

Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl both to score at +300. My $5 bet would return $20.00.

Can’t Miss Parlay:

Edmonton Oilers to win and Alex Ovechkin to get 1+ point at +125. My $5 bet would return $11.25.

The fact that I got anything right on Saturday is stunning to me because that game was awful.
  • Leon Draisaitl any time goal scorer at +105. ✅
  • Both teams score in the first period at +125. ✅
  • Edmonton Oilers to win and Connor McDavid with 2+ points at +150.
  • Colorado over Columbus on the ML, Washington over Arizona on the ML, and Connor McDavid to register a point at 2.14.
And there you have it, friends. Now that you know what I’m betting on — I’ll be throwing one unit down on each bet, for the record — feel free to hit me up in the comments section to let me know what you’re looking at against the Capitals.
