Risky Business is brought to you by NHL Lines site Betway!
If there is one team in the NHL that I have no real interest in betting against right now it has to be the Minnesota Wild. I don’t know what it is about this team being the Oilers’ kryptonite right now, but the boys have lost their last seven games against Minnesota and it hurts my heart. So what does that mean for my betting game? Caution. Since I’m putting my own money down on this, there is no way I’m betting heavily against a team that just seems to own us right now. I have no interest in betting with my heart and having the boys cut me deeply, but that doesn’t mean I won’t be cheering them on.
If you’re following along at home, the odds I’ll be using for my game day betting articles all season come from Betway. Here’s what I’m putting down against the Wild:

Player Prop:

Zach Hyman over 3.5 shots at +115. My $5 bet would return $10.75.

Easy Money:

Over 1.5 total power play goals at -105. My $5 bet would return $9.76.

Risky Business:

Connor McDavid and Kirill Kaprisov both to score at +275. My $5 bet would return $18.75.

Can’t Miss Parlay:

Calgary over Columbus, New Jersey over NYI on the ML, and Vegas over Philly on the ML at 2.89. My $5 bet would return $14.45.

Last Game

If you’re a betting fan and love putting a few nickles down on the Oilers, Wednesday’s win against the Arizona Coyotes was the kind of night you love to see. Not only did I hit 3/4 of the bets I put up here on the site, but I also cashed in on a few extras that I dropped right before puck drop.
  • Leon Draisaitl over 3.5 shots on goal at +105.
  • Over 1.5 total power play goals at -105. ✅
  • Leon Draisaitl and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins both to score at +400. ✅
  • Oilers to win and Connor McDavid to score at +175. ✅
And there you have it, friends. Now that you know what I’m betting on — I’ll be throwing one unit down on each bet, for the record — feel free to hit me up in the comments section to let me know what you’re looking at against the Wild.
