Risky Business is brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
I don’t think I’m talking out of school when I say this is a game that the Oilers absolutely have to win. As if losing four straight games isn’t annoying enough, the way the Oilers are losing has been shocking and completely unacceptable for a team with Stanley Cup aspirations. From the crease outward, Edmonton needs to raise the bar in terms of performance. Whether it’s getting a key save at a big moment of the game or a big defensive stop when they’re being hemmed in, the Oilers need to do a better job of paying attention to the small details. And with the Flyers coming into Rogers Place on the second half of a back-to-back set, the table is set for the Oilers to get back in the win column provided that they can put together a full 60 minutes for the first time in a while.
If you’re following along at home, the odds I’ll be using for my game day betting articles all season come from Betway. Here’s what I’m putting down against the Flyers:

Player Prop:

Zach Hyman over 3.5 shots at +105. My $5 bet would return $10.75.

Easy Money:

Over 62.5 total shots on goal at -118. My $5 bet would return $9.50.

Risky Business:

Connor McDavid over 1.5 goals at +400. My $5 bet would return $25.00.

Can’t Miss Parlay:

Oilers over Philly on the money line, New Jersey over Montreal on the money line, and Tampa Bay over Anaheim on the puck line at 2.51. My $5 bet would return $12.56.

Last Game

The last game was so bad in so many ways, and it still pains me to write about it now. Not only did the Oilers blow another three-goal lead, but they also lost me a bunch of money, which is a really tough kick to the shin.
  • Evander Kane over 3.5 shots on goal at +115. (push)
  • Under 66.5 total shots on goal.
  • Oilers money line and over 5.5 total goals at +180.
  • Toronto over Chicago on the money line, Ottawa over St. Louis on the money line, and Minnesota over Nashville on the money line at 3.30.
And there you have it, friends. Now that you know what I’m betting on — I’ll be throwing one unit down on each bet, for the record — feel free to hit me up in the comments section to let me know what you’re looking at against the Flyers.
