Risky Business: It’s leaves not Leafs

Is anyone else nervous about tonight’s game against the Leafs? It’s not that I don’t believe the Oilers can win this game — they absolutely can beat anybody in this league — but I’m worried about the number of mistakes they’re making right now. As much as it pains me to say, the Leafs are a damned good hockey club and they will absolutely torch you if given extra opportunities to create offence, and that’s something the Oilers will have to manage in a big way. So how will I approach betting on this game? With great caution, it’s the only thing that makes sense to me.

Connor McDavid to score 1 goal and 1 assist at 2.10. My $5 bet would return $10.50.

Over 7.5 total goals at 2.60. My $5 bet would return $13.00.

Leon Draisaitl and Auston Matthews both to score 1 power play point at 4.00. My $5 bet would return $16.00.

NYR over Philly on the money line, Dallas over Arizona on the money line, and Washington over Anaheim on the money line at 2.71. My $5 bet would return $13.59.

A nightmare scenario in every possible way. Not only did the Oilers lose to the Bruins, but they also cost me all of the money I put down on the game.
