Risky Business is brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
I don’t care that it’s been years since the Jets swept the Oilers in the first round of the playoffs, I still hate them with a fiery passion that’s usually reserved for the Leafs or Flames. The good news, however, is that the Jets have struggled lately and I’m hopeful that means good news for our boys as they look to turn Wednesday’s win into another. From an Oilers perspective, the most important thing the Oilers could do for themselves is to get a quick start and hopefully an early goal or two to try and shake Hellebuyck’s confidence before he’s able to settle in. I know that’s easier said than done, but I also think it’s a doable goal given how well the Oilers are rolling right now. So what does that mean for my bets? I’m feeling bullish, friends.
If you’re following along at home, the odds I’ll be using for my game day betting articles all season come from Betway. Here’s what I’m putting down against the Jets.

Player Prop:

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins over 2.5 shots at 2.25. My $5 bet would return $11.25.

Easy Money:

Connor McDavid and Mark Scheifele both to register 1 point at 1.66. My $5 bet would return $8.33.

Risky Business:

Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl both to score at 3.25. My $5 bet would return $16.25.

Can’t Miss Parlay:

Edmonton over Winnipeg on the money line and Carolina over Arizona on the puck line at 2.70. My $5 bet would return $14.02.

Is there anything better than winning a bunch of money AND watching the Toronto Maple Leafs lose? No. There is not. That is as good as it gets IMO.
  • Connor McDavid to score 1 goal and 1 assist at 2.10. ✅
  • Over 7.5 total goals at 2.60.
  • Leon Draisaitl and Auston Matthews both to score 1 power play point at 4.00. ✅
  • NYR over Philly on the money line, Dallas over Arizona on the money line, and Washington over Anaheim on the money line at 2.71. ✅
And there you have it, friends. Now that you know what I’m betting on — I’ll be throwing one unit down on each bet, for the record — feel free to hit me up in the comments section to let me know what you’re looking at against the Jets.
