Good news, Nation! The folks over at Sportsnet have finally announced the broadcasting schedule for the play-in rounds, including those involving the Edmonton Oilers.
When it comes to watching Oilers games on TV, we finally have the answers to when and where we’ll be able to watch everything. Here’s what you need to know (all times Mountain):

Battle of Alberta Exhibition Game

On Tuesday, July 28th, the Oilers and Flames will square off in a tune-up game ahead of the commencement of the play-in rounds and now we know where we’ll be able to watch it. Starting at 8:30 p.m. MT, the game will be broadcast on Sportsnet’s national feed (with Chris Cuthbert and Louie DeBrusk on the call) and on 630 CHED with Jack Michaels and Bob Stauffer.

The Play-In Round

As we reported yesterday, Chris Cuthbert and Louie DeBrusk will be calling every single game in Edmonton for the play-in rounds and playoffs, which is excellent news for many of us. According to what I could find, all of the Oilers games will be broadcast on both TV and on 630 CHED.
Here’s the TV rundown.
  • Saturday, August 1st – Oilers vs. Blackhawks, 1 p.m., Sportsnet (national)
  • Monday, August 3rd – Oilers vs. Blackhawks, 8:30 p.m., Sportsnet (national)
  • Wednesday, August 5th – Blackhawks vs. Oilers, 8:30 p.m., Sportsnet (national)
  • Friday, August 7th – Blackhawks vs. Oilers, TBD
  • Saturday, August 8th – Blackhawks vs. Oilers, TBD
According to the release, Sportsnet will announce times and broadcast info for Games 4 and 5 provided that they’re necessary. Overall, it seems as though the Canadian team games will be prioritized on Sportsnet’s national feeds, while other games will appear on Sportsnet 360 and Sportsnet One depending on availability.
