Is there anything better than sitting in the sun and watching some baseball with a frosty beverage in one hand and a hot dog in the other? No. The answer is no. That’s why we’re so pumped to be partnering with the Edmonton Prospects again this summer.
Three years ago, we formed a partnership with our friends at the Edmonton Prospects and it went so well that we all decided to keep the good times rolling every year since. To say that we’re excited would be a massive understatement because I honestly can’t think of a better time than heading down to the ballpark for a bronze, some brews, and some baseball. Every time I go, I always have a great time and I can’t wait to keep it going again for their 2019 season. Remember in Grease when John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John sang Summer Nights, setting the tone for a summer of fun, romance, and memories that last a lifetime? It’s kinda like that. Sound fun? Sound incredible? Sound amazing? Of course it does.
This Saturday (May 25th), the Prospects kick off their 2019 season with a game against the Lethbridge Bulls and we want all of you to join in on the action. Starting at 5 pm, the Prospects will be hooking up the first 200 people to the ballpark with a pass for the Prospect Patio Pit where you will get in on the music, $2 hotdogs, $4 beers and visiting burlesque girls. Want more? No problem. After the game, the Prospects will also be putting on a fireworks show to cap off what will surely be a big win.

WE’RE TALKIN’ BASEBALL

If you’ve never spent time at the ballpark, the 2019 Prospects season is a great time to sort out that gaping hole in your life. Spending a day/evening/weekend at RE/MAX Field is a great way to get out of the house and have a great time without breaking the bank, and I really do encourage all of you to take advantage. What I’m saying is that you could round up your crew or take your family for a night out, and not have to worry about gapping on your mortgage payment. How can you say no to fun at a reasonable price? You can’t. Not to mention, after spending the last six months indoors you can probably use to some Vitamin D and sun on your translucent skin. I’m not judging – I’m in the exact same boat.
With the season kicking off this weekend, we want to see some Nation Citizens get out to RE/MAX Field and help support local baseball in an incredible park. At the end of the day, it’s important to us that we support local sports and we encourage all of you to do the same. So if you’re looking for something to do on Saturday night, why not head down to RE/MAX Field and help the Prospects kick off their season in style. If can’t make it this weekend — no problem — head over to their website and find a game (or theme night) that fits in your calendar and make a plan to spend a night with the boys. Prove to the city that baseball in the river valley is something that Edmontonians value and want to continue into the future. Get your tickets here.
