The Kentwood Ford Fantasy Hockey Draft

8 years agoMy friends, once again it’s time to put your hockey mind to use for a chance at glory and prizes. What am I talking about? The latest Nation Draft, of course. With the addition of Connor McDavid this season will be huge for the Oilers, and we wanted our regular season draft to follow suit. This is no ordinary Nation contest, my friends, you’re going to want to get in on this one.
Now that the pre-season is in full swing, and the rosters are being ironed out, it’s time to put your hockey knowledge to the test. Rather than arguing about the depth on the roster we’re able to get back to our favourite pass time of pumping our own tires. Thanks to our friends at Kentwood Ford you once again have the opportunity to show the world just how hockey smart you really are.
Think you can beat me? Sign up and prove it. I’ve already submitted my roster and I feel good about it. My team name is “BAGGEDMILK HATES JEANSHORTS” and I’m confident that my roster is better than yours despite having never seen who you picked. Quite frankly, I don’t think you’ve got the foresight and hockey skills to get the job done. When the season ends I’m going to be standing atop the standings looking down at you all* like the fantasy king that I am.
*probably not.
THE RULES
This rules of the draft are simple. Since you already know who the best NHL players are picking your team will be easy! The Kentwood Hockey Draft is idiot proof! Even I could figure it out! All you have to do is sign up at www.kentwoodhockey.com and select the best team you can based on the player boxes provided. The ultimate goal is to get the maximum amount of goals/assists/points out of your team, so choose wisely. Simple enough, right?
This is a FREE draft so putting your money where your mouth is has never been easier. Once you pick your players you can sit back, admire your handiwork, and we’ll take care of the rest. One thing I do want to mention is that this contest is only open to Alberta residents based on the prizes available (more on that later). The deadline to enter your team is October 8th at 3pm (The complete set of rules is here.)

THE PRIZES
We wanted to make sure that this year’s draft was as special as our summer has been and to do that we had to step up the prizing and our friends at Kentwood Ford have helped us do that. This year you’re playing for:
- Grand Prize: A 2-year lease on a 2016 Ford Escape
- 2nd prize: $1000 Go Card for use toward a new car, service, or accessories.
- 3rd prize: $500 Go Card for use toward a new car, service, or accessories.
- 4th prize: Movie tickets for one year (24 tickets).
- 5th prize: A signed Taylor Hall Oilers jersey.
