One of my favourite things to write every year is the announcement post for the next #NationVacation to watch hockey in parts unknown. This time around, we’re heading to Denver for a sports weekend you won’t want to miss.
I say this all the time, but one of the funniest days at Nation HQ is when the league releases the schedule for the upcoming season, and we pour over it to find dates for the next #NationVacation. Yeah, it’s always nice to know when we’ll see key matchups, but the real search is to find the best time and location to watch the boys play behind enemy lines.
This year, we wanted to see if there was a way to replicate the amazing trip we did last year to Seattle. If you missed that one, not only did we fly down to watch the boys play, but we also paired the hockey game with a football game between the Seahawks and the Commanders. Needless to say, watching some hockey one night and football the next was an absolute blast and an experience we wanted to do again. And after scouring the schedule and plenty of thought, we found another weekend to do it all.
This time, we’re going to Denver.
Not only did we find a back-to-back weekend that will allow us to throw a watch party (Friday) and get to know each other before attending the game together (Saturday), but we’re also pairing the hockey experiences with a Monday Night Football game at Empower Field at Mile High. That’s a packed itinerary, my friends, and one you won’t want to miss. From my side of the computer screen, this is a sports weekend for the ages, and I would love nothing more than for you to join us.
