Whatchoo talkin’ ’bout, Willis?

Dear Everybody,

We have been running this site for nearly nine months now. It’s a lot of work. We have to turn on our computer, we have to think of things to write, and then we have to decide which spell-check option to pick when we write the words wrong. Then we have to hit publish. In short, it’s a real pain. But we do it for the kids. You know, all five of our readers whom we love dearly, even when they mock us.  Because even though it hurts, we know they care.

And we think there are people out there who are way better at blogging than we are. Better at thinking, better at writing and better at smelling [good]. We have our favourite blogs, and we often wish that we could work with some of these people.

But wishing won’t make it so. So we write this open letter to our favorite blogger—Jonathan from Copper and Blue. This guy writes every single day, sometimes twice. Robin Brownlee once called it “important, must read stuff.” Has he ever said something that nice about our own Wanye Gretz? No, he once noted that “Wanye Gretz has shit for brains.”

And so, in the absence of having any better ideas on how to do this we formally ask: “Jonathan from Copper and Blue, will you join us? We have a shiny new website coming, we have candy and our moms say that we clean up good when we’re forced to leave our rat-infested apartments to steal moonshine from homeless people.”
