The Edmonton Oilers’ 2022 playoff run ended disappointed at the Colorado Avalanche’s feet. The Avalanche swept the Oilers, firing the final blow at Rogers Place to help them advance to the Stanley Cup Finals they won. Tonight, Connor McDavid and the Oilers get a chance to grab some redemption when they play them for the first time since that night.

Colorado has not been as dominant this season, and that is because of the injuries they have faced. Gabriel Landeskog, Valeri Nichushkin, and Josh Manson are just a few names out of their lineup, and Nathan MacKinnon has also missed some time. They still have Cale Makar and Mikko Rantanen playing every night and having great seasons, which will be a challenge the Oilers will need to handle.
