On this week’s Real Life Podcast, the boys spend the hour getting you caught up on all things Oilers, including a recap from the NHL Draft, answering listener questions, and taking a quick look at the options as the team heads into free agency.
It was a busy episode of the Real Life Podcast this week as the boys had a lot to talk about with another NHL Draft in the books. As you know, the Oilers got lucky and managed to snag Evan Bouchard with the 10th overall pick despite being ranked much higher in the draft order. With the draft on their minds, the boys looked at Ottawa landing Brady Tkachuk with the 4th overall pick and wondered what the approach will be with their new prized prospect considering the trainwreck that’s happening around the franchise. Speaking of shenanigans, Wanye then tells the story of getting pulled over again for what seems like the dozenth time in the past year. Is he living life on the lam? Lastly, the guys look at the podcast feedback that’s coming in on Twitter and they answer any questions that came in, including one that asks what they would do to improve the fan experience at Rogers Place.
Bonus: The boys also touched on Chris the Intern’s bucket list which included him yelling out “True North” during the anthem, a goal he achieved when we went to Winnipeg for the heritage classic last season.
