This morning, the Edmonton Oilers have recalled Markus Granlund from the Bakersfield Condors and placed Connor McDavid on the IR retroactive to Feb. 9 pertaining to the quad injury suffered against the Nashville Predators.

Granlund, 26, appeared in 31 games for the Oilers earlier this season, but was sent down to the Bakersfield Condors just after Christmas.
With the Condors, he’s scored six goals and nine assists in 15 games.
McDavid, meanwhile, was injured last weekend in a game against the Nashville Predators after a tough luck play that saw him crash into the end boards. He is expected to miss two-to-three weeks without their captain. So far, the Oilers have gone 1-1 with McDavid out of the lineup.
