🎶Guess who just got back today
Them wild-eyed boys that had been away
Haven’t changed that much to say
But man, I still think them cats are crazy 🎶
The boys are officially back in town as a group of Edmonton Oilers have begun skating in town.
According to Tom Gazzola, the group includes Leon Draisaitl, Darnell Nurse, Tyler Ennis, Alex Chiasson, Stuart Skinner and former Oiler Sam Gagner, who can participate as the protocols are similar to that of phase two. It’s great news that players are already back in town and getting their legs underneath them.
Edmonton came out incredibly flat against Chicago in the play-in round and were such eliminated in short order. The Oilers and GM Ken Holland has since made a slew of moves to improve the roster including signings like Tyson Barrie and Tyler Ennis, amongst others.
Nonetheless, it means we’re one step closer to getting actual hockey action back on our television screens. I, for one, can’t wait for the year to kick off.
