Edmonton Oilers claim goalie Troy Grosenick

The Edmonton Oilers have claimed goaltender Troy Grosenick on waivers.
The 31-year-old career AHL goalie spent last season with the Milwaukee Admirals where he posted a 20-9-3 record and a .920 save percentage.
Grosenick will slide into the Oilers backup role once he goes through the quarantine process. While more experienced that Stuart Skinner, it’s hard to say if he’d be much better than him.
Nonetheless, with Mike Smith heading to the LTIR yesterday the Oilers needed a quick fix for a third goaltender and Grosenick will be just that. The Oilers will likely use him in game action later this month in a road back-to-back with Toronto and Ottawa.
