Rock meet hard place.
The Edmonton Oilers may be without captain Connor McDavid Wednesday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
According to TSN’s Ryan Rishaug, the NHL’s leading scorer was absent from practice Wednesday — one of two alongside Derek Ryan — and it may be due to COVID-19 protocols.
Am told McDavids absence from practice is Covid related.
With the Oilers absolutely reeling, the news couldn’t come at a worse for a team desperate for not only a win, but any sort of offence.
We will update this article as more information becomes available.
