It’s Friday afternoon and the gang is all here with a brand new episode of Oilersnation Radio to help you finish off what’s left of your week with an hour of all things Edmonton Oilers. On today’s show, we looked at the Holland presser, the neverending Evander Kane saga, previewed tomorrow’s matchup against the Senators, and a whole lot more.
To kick things off, the podcast got started with a look at the Evander Kane story that circled the Edmonton Oilers this past week and whether or not we think it’s worth it to bring him into the mix. While there’s no doubt that Kane would help on the ice, the issue for a lot of Oilers fans is the off-ice allegations that seem to follow the guy around. Would we sign him? Would you? From there we looked at Ken Holland’s press conference from earlier in the week and how many Oilers fans were upset about the lack of direction from the GM even though the reality is that we probably shouldn’t have expected much in terms of new information anyway. Sticking with the Oilers, we then spent a few minutes previewing tomorrow’s game against the Ottawa Senators and talked about how excited we all are to watch the Oilers play hockey again after going nearly two weeks between games. Lastly, we wrapped up this week’s podcast with another round of Ask the Idiots and Hot and Cold performers to recap what was a very busy week here in Edmonton.
