2 Guys and a Goalie pres. by Odds Shark- RFA signings, Waiver Day, Splitting up McDavid & Draisaitl, and chicken

Sep 30, 2019, 16:35 EDT
Welcome to “2 Guys and a Goalie,” starring Dustin Nielson, Joaquin Gage, and Matt Kassian and presented by Odds Shark, Popeye’s Louisiana Chicken, and Sports Clips Haircuts. The show focuses on stories, notes, transactions, and everything else happening all around the NHL and the world of hockey.
For Episode Five, the boys chat about @Connor McDavid’s pursuit for the Hart Trophy, @Leon Draisaitl’s for the “Rocket” Richard Trophy, and Dave Tippett’s plan to possibly have them centre their own lines.
Kass and Gager tell some early training camp stories before Dusty surprises them with some delicious spicy chicken sandwiches courtesy of Popeyes. This segues into them discussing a spicy topic from the last night: Evander Kane’s ejection after striking an official when the Sharks took on the Golden Knights; was it a justified ejection and what should the repercussions be?
They also touched on the last RFAs signings and picked which one will have the best season in 2019-20.
Then they dove into the Popeyes Poll Question: Who will lead the NHL in goals?
Ovechkin, Stamkos, Draisaitl, Matthews, or someone else?
This gets them into discussing who the greatest goal-scorer of all-time is, and then they touched on a few other things:
- They touch on the new NHL/Green Day two year partnership and what sort of music was played in the dressing room when Kass and Gager were still there.
- Dusty asks them what it’s like for a player to be placed on waivers.
- Who will win the Hart Trophy
- Who will win the Stanley Cup
- Biggest story at the end of the season.
