Around the Network:

The Wings were first on the board with the player that almost every ranking had going 3rd or 4th, Filip Zadina falls down to the folks over at Wingsnation. They’re excited.
Following a trend of players who “fell” into the laps of teams excited to be able to make the picks, Quinn Hughes goes at number seven to the Canucks and the folks over at CanucksArmy had the details.
The Oilers were excited to see their pick Evan Bouchard come up at 10th. In his three mock drafts, Dustin Nielson had Evan going 7th (Post-lottery), 9th (Post-Combine), and finally 10th (this morning). The man knows his stuff. This is what he had to say after Bouchard fell into the Oilers lap in his final mock draft:
Bouchard would be the best-case scenario for Chiarelli at ten. We’ve talked about how it would a perfect weekend for the Oilers if they come back to Edmonton with a top end prospect and a veteran right-shot d-man who can help immediately. Bouchard is, at a minimum, one year away from being that guy for the Oilers.
Calgary traded away the pick that turned into Noah Dobson. Travis Hamonic was the return, but do you think if they were given a chance to go back now, would they undo that trade?
Flyersnation.com had two picks to look forward to with Joel Farabee going with the 14th overall pick and then five picks later, they selected Jay O’Brien at 19th overall.
The Maple Leafs initially moved down from 25th to 28th mid-draft tonight with a trade between St. Louis and themselves. They picked up an extra pick (76th overall) for their troubles. With the 28th pick they selected Rasmus Sandin with the first pick in the Kyle Dubas era.
Speaking of that 28th pick, that was originally the Jets that they had sent away in the Paul Statsny trade last season.
