All About Tyler Tullio

Here we’ve put together a collection of scouting reports, highlights, and news items regarding newly drafted forward, Tyler Tullio. The Edmonton Oilers selected Tullio with the 126th overall pick, providing the depth chart with another forward that will hopefully be able to bring a dose of skill to the prospect pool that desperately needs it.

“Tullio is a versatile forward. He is capable of playing all three forward positions. His lack of size and strength could be an issue and could lead to him becoming a winger going forward. However, if he can add muscle, he has the skating ability and the smarts to stay in the middle. If he develops properly, he can be a middle-six forward, adding offence while playing a smart defensive game. Much like any prospect selected in the fifth round of the NHL Entry Draft, Tyler Tullio will require plenty of time and patience to develop and hone his craft before ever making it to the National Hockey League. Next season, Tullio will return to the Oshawa Generals for his third season in the OHL, hopefully earning more opportunity and ice time as a result. The 2019-20 season was the first time in his junior career that Tullio finished his year at better than a point-per-game clip, and it will be interesting to see whether or not he will be able to increase those totals in year three.
