Happy playoff game day, Internet friends, and welcome to another chapter of your ol’ pal Baggedmilk’s adventures in local radio. As I do every week, I jumped on the air with the boys on The Locker Room for a quick segment to talk about game one of the series between the Oilers and Jets, playoff superstitions, and anything else that’s going on in the world of the Edmonton Oilers.
Kicking off this week’s segment, we got started with a run of score predictions for game one between the Oilers and Jets and, outside of Jimmy, everyone was feeling pretty confident that our boys are going to be able to get something done. With Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl leading the charge, the Oilers have an excellent chance of continuing their regular season run over Winnipeg and it all begins tonight in the long-anticipated series opener. From there we looked at playoff superstitions and whether or not I have anything that comes to mind. While I would say that I’m not really the most superstitious person, that could all change if the Oilers start going on a run here. If I have to keep wearing the same hoodie over and over again because I think it helps the boys win then I will definitely do that even if I don’t particularly think it means anything at all.
