Welcome back to another edition of the Betway Bets of the Day!
The Bets of the Day are brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
Our first bet of the day is on the Oilers puck line, with odds at +120.
Not only do I think the Oilers will punch their ticket tonight, I think they’ll do so in fashion, covering the -1.5 puck line. The Oilers have done so twice so far in the series in Games 1 & 3 and are in a prime spot to do so tonight. That’s because they’ve held the Kings to just one goal through the last two games of their series, as Stuart Skinner has stood on his head turning aside 60 of the 61 shots he’s faced.
Look for the Oilers to lock things down against tonight.
Our second bet of the day is on Connor McDavid to be an anytime goalscorer, with odds at +110.
McDavid is due.
While he’s been an assist factory all season long, it’s not like he’s forgotten how to score. He scored on the power play in Game 3 extending the Oilers’ lead to 3-0 at the time, and has accounted for 1.61 individual expected goals so far this series. The best players in the league are always able to outscore their own expected goals, and that’s exactly what McDavid is: the best player in the league.
In each of the last two games in which the Oilers eliminated the Kings in the playoffs, McDavid scored a goal, so let’s see if he can keep that up tonight.
Record: 121-145 (-11.61u)
Yesterday: 1-3 (-2.39u)
Last 7: 4-8 (-4.57u)
Last 30: 17-25 (-4.99u)
2022-23 season: 155-149 (+16.82u)
