Baggedmilk on #theLOCKERROOM: McDavid’s socks, Kane’s return, and the #NationVacation

Happy Wednesday, Internet friends, and welcome to yet another chapter of your ol’ pal Baggedmilk’s adventures in radio. As I do every week, I jumped on the air with the boys on The Locker Room for a quick segment to talk about the Oilers while also offering my takes on anything else that’s going on in the world.

To kick off this week’s segment, we got started with a quick chat about Connor McDavid’s socks after the superstar revealed on Hockey Night in Canada that he’s been wearing the same ones for years. As much as some people were bothered by the socks themselves, my biggest problem was that Connor allowed a free picture of his feed to hit the internet when he could be charging to see them dawgs. Next up, we looked at the rumours that Evander Kane could be coming back before the end of the month and how it would obviously be a massive addition when the Oilers need him most. If you missed our interview with Kane from last week, he mentioned that he’s a quick healer and that the hope was to return earlier than the original timeline, but now it’s looking like it may actually happen. Next up we spent the next few minutes talking about the defence and specifically who the Oilers could target to help them solve their defensive woes. Seeing as there is an obvious need on defence, it’s little surprise that the Oilers are being linked to every d-man under the sun right now, but will any of them actually be Edmonton Oilers when all is said and done? Lastly, we wrapped up this week’s segment by calming Loc down after he confessed he’s worried about Connor McDavid’s future with the team if things don’t go well down the stretch. Thankfully, I was able to calm him down a little bit.
