Happy Wednesday, Internet friends, and welcome to yet another chapter of your ol’ pal Baggedmilk’s adventures in radio. As I do every week, I jumped on the air with the boys on The Locker Room for a quick segment to talk about the Oilers while also offering my takes on anything else that’s going on in the world.
To kick off this week’s segment, we got started with an acknowledgment that there’s nothing to talk about given that the Oilers are out of the playoffs. As a result, we wandered into some random topics ranging from lawn care to clover lawns to pruning Bonzai trees. Dipping our toe back into sports, we looked at the NHL playoffs and how this final four has to be one of the most boring matchups we’ve seen in quite some time. Frankly, thinking about it just makes me mad because I feel like the Oilers were the ones that got in their own way and ruined their chance of going to the Stanley Cup Finals. Lastly, we wrapped up this week’s segment with a look at the Oilers’ roster and whether or not the team should have any appetite to buy anyone out to free up some short-term cap space. Personally, I think buying anyone out would be a terrible idea for a team that’s looking to improve the roster. Ken Holland has too many items on his to-do list this summer to have dead cap space blocking the way.

Check me out on The Lockerroom every Wednesday around 8:45 AM MT to hear my thoughts on the Oilers and life in general.
