Baggedmilk on #theLOCKERROOM: Oilers comeback win, Arby’s, and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins

Good morning, Internet friends, and welcome to yet another edition of your ol’ pal Baggedmilk’s adventures in local radio. As I do every Wednesday, I jumped on with the boys on The Locker Room for a few minutes to talk about Oilers, what’s been going on around the NHL, and try to make sense of this crazy life we’re living.

To kick off this week’s appearance, we jumped in with a look at one of my favourite topics on earth — Arby’s. Apparently, Lochlin is in pursuit of a secret menu item called the Meat Mountain that basically contains every animal under the sun and I was very intrigued to hear about the possibility. Frankly, I love all secret menus at fast food places so hearing that Arby’s also has one was no different and I actually don’t know why I was surprised. Back to the Oilers, we spent the next few minutes discussing last night’s huge comeback win over the Vancouver Canucks and whether or not that victory will give the boys even more confidence heading into Thursday’s rematch. Next up, we looked at the Montreal Canadiens decision to fire their coaching staff this morning after that team came crashing back down to earth after a very hot start to the season. Lastly, we wrapped up this week’s segment with a look at Ryan Nugent-Hopkins’ extension talks with the Oilers and whether or not I’m getting nervous about the general lack of movement we’ve seen so far. At this point, I’m still feeling alright since there’s lots of time left to get a deal done, but we’ll see how or if that sentiment changes if we get closer to the deadline without any progress being made.
