Better Lait Than Never: The Stretch Drive, Trade Rumours, and winning the Pacific Division

How happy were you last night when the Oilers finally faced off against Detroit after a 10-day break? Probably 12/10 happy, right? Me too.
To kick off this week’s podcast, I got started with a quick recap of the latest episode of MILF Manor. Why? Because I’m committed to the bit at this point and I need to stick with it. Not to mention, this show is a masterpiece and if you’re not watching it yet then I encourage you to reevaluate your life. Back to the Oilers, we’re right in the thick of the silly szn and that means there are rumours aplenty around this team right now, so I walked through some of the latest rumblings to try and make sense of what’s happening. Seeing as last week’s episode of the podcast kicked the hornet’s nest a little bit, I feel even more bullish on the information I have, especially with Ken Holland admitting that he’s got some tough decisions to make if Yamamoto comes off the LTIR in the next few days. And seeing as Kailer Yamamoto is traveling with the team and taking normal reps at practice, you’d have to think that he’ll be back in the lineup sooner than later. On the more annoying side, I took umbrage with the fact that a bunch of Detroit Red Wings players were acting like real tough guys when the linesmen were around even though it was obvious they didn’t want any of the Oilers’ smoke. Lastly, I wrapped up the episode with another round of voicemails to get your take on what’s been going on over the last week.
