Welcome back to another edition of the Betway Bets of the Day!
The Bets of the Day are brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
Our first bet of the day is taking the Edmonton Oilers on the moneyline, with odds sitting at -135.
The Oilers come into tonight’s game as favourites, and we’re going to back them here against the Colorado Avalanche. The Oilers are 2-0-5 against Colorado in the regular season dating back to the start of the 2021-22 season, and six of those games have ended in virtual coinflips.
For as good as the Oilers have played as a whole this season, they’ve had some concerning games lately, including one where they got blown out 5-0 by the Stars earlier this week. With the Avalanche in the second half of a back-to-back having played in Minnesota Thursday night, I like the Oilers to come out on top here.
Our second bet of the day is taking Jared McCann to score 1+ power play point, with odds sitting at +225. This bet will be for half a unit.
The Kraken are taking on the Anaheim Ducks tonight, who take tons of penalties and have a horrible penalty kill. McCann has led the power play scoring charge over the last 10 games for the Kraken, notching five assists with the man advantage and 23 points in 74 games on the year. He’s got a great opportunity to find himself on the score sheet here tonight, so back him to do so.
Record: 106-120 (-6.62u)
Last 30: 21-20 (+3.53u)
2022-23 season: 155-149 (+16.82u)
*Odds available at the time of publishing and are subject to change. All suggested bets are for one unit unless otherwise noted.
