Betway Bets of the Day — Backing three plus-money props

Welcome back to another edition of the Betway Bets of the Day!

Our first bet of the day will be taking Tyler Toffoli to take over 3.5 shots on goal. These odds sit at +125.

Toffoli has been firing at will to start the season cashing this prop in two of three games so far this season. Since joining the New Jersey Devils this year and getting elevated to their top line, he’s fit in seamlessly alongside center Jack Hughes. While their superstar center is the engine that drives that line, shooting the pill a lot, too, it hasn’t diminished Toffoli’s ability to do the same.

He’s yet to find the net this year, but that should change soon. In his last 30 games, he’s taken 13.7 shots on goal per hour —a full three shots more per hour than anyone else on this two-game slate tonight.

For all these reasons, let’s back Toffoli to score a goal at +175.

Our second bet of the day will be taking Mikael Backlund to take o3.5 SOG. These odds sit at +125.

Another plus-money play here in a spot that I like. Backlund has been a great piece of the Calgary Flames for years, but over the last two, he and his linemates have been very strong at driving offence. That appears to be the same this year with Blake Coleman and rookie Matt Coronato flanking him.

Backlund’s cashed this prop in two of four games this year, and in four straigtht games against the Blue Jackets dating back to January 2022.
