Welcome back to another edition of the Betway Bets of the Day!
The Bets of the Day are brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
Our first bet of the day is on Evan Bouchard to take over 2.5 shots on goal, with odds at -150.
There wasn’t a lot of good that happened for the Oilers against the Stars in the regular season, going 1-2 against them while getting outscored 12-7. One positive, however, was the performance of Evan Bouchard, who had a two goal game and took 14 shots on goal. He’s cashed this prop in six of nine career games against Dallas, and in eight of 12 games this post-season.
Let’s see if he can continue his breakout performance.
Our second bet of the day is on Evander Kane to score 1+ point, with odds at +115.
Kane has been solid for the Oilers in the playoffs, scoring four goals and seven points in 12 games. He doesn’t shoot the puck much, averaging around 2.6 shots per game, but he’s contributing on the score sheet and with his physical play. Since joining the Oilers, he’s had five points in seven games against Dallas, cashing this prop in four of those games, and in what should be a tight series, Edmonton will need him contributing.
Our third bet of the day is on the Edmonton Oilers and under 6.5 goal, with odds at +245. This bet will be for half a unit.
Just a little sprinkle here tonight. I like the Oilers to come out strong tonight in Game 1 and I could see this being a low-scoring game. Both teams have struggled in Game 1’s in the past, and while the Oilers have gone under this number in just five of 12 games in these playoffs, Dallas has done so in nine of 13 games.
Record: 135-175 (-25.08u)
2022-23 season: 155-149 (+16.82u)
