Welcome back to another edition of the Betway Bets of the Day!
The Bets of the Day are brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
Our first bet of the day will be taking Gabriel Vilardi to take over 2.5 shots on goal. These odds sit at +130.
Gabe Vilardi is having a solid season with the Winnipeg Jets, after arriving in that Pierre-Luc Dubois blockbuster over the summer. He’s averaging 2.4 shots on goal per game, and has racked up 11 goals and 20 points in 30 games. He’s not the most offensively gifted player, but this is someone who has an excellent matchup tonight with the Jets hosting the San Jose Sharks.
Vilardi’s cashed this prop in 15 of 30 games this season, and notably his shot volume at home (9.14 shots per 60) is much higher than that on the road (7.8). Not just is his shot volume at home higher, but so is his point production. At home, he’s scored 2.83 points per hour, while on the road, that number drops to 1.82.
For that reason, we’re going to put a half unit on Vilardi to score 2+ points. These odds sit at +325. While he’s done it just four times this season, three of them have happened in his 17 home games.
His goal rate on home ice of 1.74 goals per hour is the second-highest of any Jet player, with eight goals coming on home ice, while his .78 goals per hour rate on the road is sixth. For that reason, we’re going to put a half unit on Vilardi to score a goal. These odds sit at +175.

Our second bet of the day will be taking Matthew Tkachuk to score 1+ assist. These odds sit at -125.
A bit of a different one here, but one that has some excellent value on it. Tkachuk’s 3.1 assists per hour over his last 25 games are the highest among any forward playing tonight, cashing this prop in 17 of those games. 13 of those assists have come with the man advantage, too, and that’s why we’re going to put a full unit on Matthew Tkachuk to score 1+ power play point. These odds sit at +162.
The Panthers, who take on the Pittsburgh Penguins tonight, have the best power play matchup on the slate, and with Tkachuk on that top unit, we’re going to see if we can double-dip on him, setting a teammate up for a goal.
