Carter Savoie early season highlights

After being selected with the 100th overall pick at this year’s NHL Entry Draft, Edmonton Oilers fans have been watching Carter Savoie’s hot start to the season very closely.

Despite many draft experts expecting that Savoie would go somewhere in the second or third round in October’s draft, the Oilers were thrilled to be able to select the local product with the 100th overall pick. However, we don’t believe many would have expected Savoie to make such an impact with the University of Denver quite this quickly. From his quick release to the way he’s able to find open ice for his teammates, Savoie has plenty of tools that have Oilers fans hoping for the best as he continues his journey towards becoming a pro.

Through 11 games played so far, Savoie has already amassed seven goals and four assists for 11 points, which is an excellent debut and first impression with this new club. How far will Savoie be able to fly? Only time will tell, but we can say with certainty that this is a prospect we’ll be watching closely over the coming years.
