Some bozo posted the following list of players that the Oilers should pursue in the offseason on sportsnet.ca (look about 2/3 of the way down). In the spirit of Tradestravaganza we won’t rip the guy a new one single handedly – instead we can all share in the joy of this 5-alarm stupidity.

I think the Oilers wont make it this year but they have a great shot at getting some great players in the offseason. Comrie, Satan, Campbell, Blake to name a few. It would be great to have a full 4 lines of semi superstars then 1 or 2 superstars. Guys the Oilers should go after:

Samsanov
Huet (trade Rollie to a contender now)
S. Avery
Strudwick
Redden
J. Smith
R. Malone
Laraque
J. Ruutu
Prospal
D. Boyle
A. Roy
D. weight
Huselius
Liles
Foote
Fedorov
Stuart
modry
N. Shultz
Demitra
M. York
B. Jackman ( priority)
Adding any 3-7 of these players makes Edmonton a real contender all of which are UFA”
