An Edmonton park will be getting a fresh name to honour the late and great Joey Moss.
The park will be located behind the school to be named after him located in Edmonton’s Keswick community.
“The Moss family is ecstatic to hear the City of Edmonton is naming a park in the Keswick community after Joey Moss,” Joey’s sister Pattie Walker said.
“Joey was such an inspiration to so many. We are thrilled to know that Joey’s legacy continues to live on and that our children will learn of Joey’s accomplishments and the importance of inclusion.”
The Oilers memorialized Moss this year by installing a plaque outside the Oilers dressing room.
Moss, who spent decades working for the Edmonton Oilers and Edmonton Elks organization, died on October 26th, 2020 at 57 years old.
