This morning, the NHL announced that @Edmonton Oilers captain, @Connor McDavid, has been named the league’s 1st star for the month of November. As you’ll see after the break, the captain put on a clinic over the last 30 days and it’s no surprise that he was named the best player in the league over that stretch.
The Oilers played 14 games in the month of November, and Connor McDavid was a big factor in almost all of them. His 13 goals and 26 points topped the NHL over that 30-day span and his herculean production was obviously a huge reason that his team enters December sitting atop of the Pacific Division. His McMonth was highlighted by seven multi-point games, an 11-game point streak where he amassed a ridiculous 12 goals and 12 assists for 24 points, and a pair of hat tricks that came against the Anaheim Ducks and Colorado Avalanche. Not enough for you? McDavid also reached the 400 career-point plateau in November, finishing the month with 421 total points which is only 15 back of Esa Tikkanen for 10th in all-time Oilers scoring.
Through 28 games, McDavid has 19 goals and 30 assists for 49 points, good for first in the NHL and one point ahead of his linemate Leon Draisaitl who sits in second. As I mentioned off the jump, having Connor McDavid named the  NHL’s 1st Star of the Month is no surprise, but what is somewhat shocking is that his linemate and partner in crime, Leon Draisaitl, was shut out of the top three. I guess you can’t acknowledge two superstars on the same team, huh?
