The Edmonton Oilers are without forward Zach Hyman on Tuesday night as the forward was a late scratch from the lineup.
The reason for Hyman drawing out of the Oilers’ lineup is not known at the time of writing.
Here’s a look at how the lineup looked for the Oilers:
It paid off early in the first period for Edmonton. Derek Ryan scored his 12th goal of the year on the Oilers’ first shot of the game, then it was Warren Foegele who helped set up Lon Draisaitl to extend their lead to 2-1. In between, however, Ottawa Senators forward Brady Tkachuk scored on the powerplay banking a puck in off Vincent Desharnais.
Hyman, meanwhile, is enjoying a career year scoring career highs in goals (29), assists (43) and points (72) playing in 66 games so far this year. His production as of late has dipped a little bit as of late scoring *just* two goals and five points in his last 10 games.
