Five Oilers games have been re-scheduled

As a result of the Vancouver Canucks nearly month-long struggle with COVID-19, the NHL has re-scheduled 13 North Division games, five of which involve the Oilers.

Here are the five games that have been re-scheduled…

Also, the start time for this game against the Jets has been changed…

The first game mentioned, of course, is Friday night’s game that was just postponed. The Oilers and Canucks will make up that game on May 3 as the first leg of a back-to-back. Games on May 4 and May 6 have been swapped so that the Oilers and Canucks can play a back-to-back in Vancouver before heading to Edmonton to play a third game against each other.

The Oilers were also scheduled to play a back-to-back on May 10 and 11 in Montreal with the Canadiens, but the second game has been moved back to May 12 in order, presumably, to give the Oilers some breathing room. Another game was scheduled with the Canucks for May 13, but the Oilers flying from Montreal to Edmonton and playing right away isn’t reasonable, so that game has been pushed back to May 15.
