Risky Business is brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
After what felt like the longest four-month wait in history, it’s finally game day for an Edmonton Oilers team with Stanley Cup aspirations. Frankly, this has to be the longest offseason that I’ve experienced in quite some time, and ALL I CAN THINK ABOUT is getting revenge after what happened in the playoffs. I fully understand that we have an entire season to get through before even thinking about playoff revenge, but that doesn’t mean it’s not too early to think about it. Either way, we’ve got 82 games and months of arguing to get through before the playoffs roll around, and the only way to get there is to start one night at a time. And tonight, our beloved Oilers take on the hapless Vancouver Canucks, which has me feeling bullish about how we’ll be starting the season. To put it lightly, I am incredibly excited to get going.
If you’re following along at home, the odds I’ll use for my game day betting articles all season come from Betway. Here’s what I’m putting down against the Vancouver Canucks.

Player Prop:

Leon Draisaitl over 2.5 shots at -167. My $5 bet would return $8.00.

Easy Money:

Oilers moneyline and over 5.5 total goals at +115. My $5 bet would return $10.75.

Risky Business:

Over 1.5 total power play goals at +155. My $5 bet would return $12.75.

Can’t Miss Parlay:

Oilers, Leafs, and Bruins all to win at +220. My $5 bet would return $16.00.

RISKY BUSINESS PRESENTED BY BETWAY

And there you have it, dear Internet friends. Now that you know what I’m betting on — I’ll be throwing one unit down on each bet, for the record — feel free to hit me up in the comments section to let me know what you’re looking at against the Canucks. It’s also worth mentioning that the betting lines move throughout the day, so that may be the reason why what’s listed above doesn’t match what’s on Betway when you put together your own bets.
