Risky Business is brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
Coming into round three of the season series, the Blackhawks are playing their third game in four nights, and I see that as a major opportunity for the Oilers to take advantage of what could be a tired opponent. Of course, just because Chicago is wrapping up a busy stretch doesn’t mean that anything will be given to our side. Needless to say, the Oilers will need to come up with a stronger effort than what we got against Columbus on Tuesday. Otherwise, they run the risk of not having things go their way or even that their goalie won’t be able to bail them out as much as Skinner did two nights ago. But if the boys play up to their potential, then I see no reason why we shouldn’t be collecting a little betting money while also celebrating a 15th consecutive victory.
If you’re following along at home, the odds I use for my game day betting articles all season come from Betway. Here’s what I’m putting down against the Chicago Blackhawks.

Player Prop:

Evan Bouchard to register one+ power play point at +175. My $5 bet would return $13.75.

Easy Money:

Over 60.5 total shots at -116. My $5 bet would return $9.34.

Risky Business:

Connor McDavid to score 2+ goals at +400. My $5 bet would return $25.00.

Can’t Miss Parlay:

Edmonton Oilers to win and Leon Draisaitl to register 2+ points at +125. My $5 bet would return $11.25.

RISKY BUSINESS PRESENTED BY BETWAY

Last Game

Since it took the Oilers 40 minutes to get going against the Blue Jackets, I got absolutely murdered on all of my game day bets. In terms of getting it wrong, I could not have done worse and it’s annoying because I also didn’t think my bets were fishing for anything crazy. It’s not like I was chasing the juice so badly that it was unlikely that I’d hit anything, but that’s the game we play when we bet with our hearts, you know?
Here’s what I bet against the Blue Jackets:
  • Ryan Nugent-Hopkins to register a power play point at +155.
  • Over 65.5 total shots on goal at -116.
  • Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl both to score at +225.
  • Over 6.5 total goals and Connor McDavid to register 1+ point at -150.
And there you have it, friends. Now you know what I’m betting on and how I did last game. As always, I put one unit down on each bet. Hit me up in the comments section to let me know what you’re looking at against the Blackhawks.
It’s also worth noting that betting lines move throughout the day, so that may be the reason why what’s listed above doesn’t match what’s on Betway when you put together your own bets.
