Risky Business is brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
I’m trying to figure out if I think the Oilers’ four-day break is a good thing or not. While I think having a few days off is great for the players who are working through injury, I do worry about the break ruining the momentum they had going. That said, I also think tonight’s matchup against a fragile Ottawa Senators team is a winnable matchup for the Oilers, provided that they maintain their high attention to detail. Throughout this win streak, the boys have played some very strong two-way hockey, and that will need to continue against a Sens team that can certainly burn you if given the chance. Just because Ottawa is sitting in last place in the Atlantic Division doesn’t mean that they don’t have an array of weapons that can do damage, and that will be a challenge for the Oilers in their first game back from another week off.
If you’re following along at home, the odds I’m using for my game day betting articles all season come from Betway. Here’s what I’m putting down against the Ottawa Senators.

Player Prop:

Leon Draisaitl to register a power play point at +125. My $5 bet would return $11.00.

Easy Money:

Over 66.5 total shots on goal at -118. My $5 bet would return $9.25.

Risky Business:

Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl both to score at +225.  My $5 bet would return $16.25.

Can’t Miss Parlay:

Edmonton Oilers money line and over 5.5 total goals at +100. My $5 bet would return $10.00.

RISKY BUSINESS PRESENTED BY BETWAY

Last Game

It doesn’t get better than watching the Oilers dominate a hockey game while also cashing in all four of the bets I put down. Big props to the boys for coming through in such a big way. Great success.
Here’s what I bet against the Flyers:
  • Leon Draisaitl to register 2+ points at +140. ✅
  • Oilers to register 33+ shots on goal at -134. ✅
  • Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl both to score at +300. ✅
  • Oilers moneyline win and over 5.5 total goals at +125. ✅
And there you have it, friends. Now you know what I’m betting on and how I did last game. As always, I put one unit down on each bet. Hit me up in the comments section to let me know what you’re looking at against the Senators.
It’s also worth noting that betting lines move throughout the day, so that may be the reason why what’s listed above doesn’t match what’s on Betway when you put together your own bets.
