I’m trying to figure out if I think the Oilers’ four-day break is a good thing or not. While I think having a few days off is great for the players who are working through injury, I do worry about the break ruining the momentum they had going. That said, I also think tonight’s matchup against a fragile Ottawa Senators team is a winnable matchup for the Oilers, provided that they maintain their high attention to detail. Throughout this win streak, the boys have played some very strong two-way hockey, and that will need to continue against a Sens team that can certainly burn you if given the chance. Just because Ottawa is sitting in last place in the Atlantic Division doesn’t mean that they don’t have an array of weapons that can do damage, and that will be a challenge for the Oilers in their first game back from another week off.

Over 66.5 total shots on goal at -118. My $5 bet would return $9.25.

Edmonton Oilers money line and over 5.5 total goals at +100. My $5 bet would return $10.00.

It doesn’t get better than watching the Oilers dominate a hockey game while also cashing in all four of the bets I put down. Big props to the boys for coming through in such a big way. Great success.
