Is anybody interested in reliving that game!?!
Here are the highlights from the Edmonton Oilers’ 8-1 loss to the Vancouver Canucks to kick off the 2023-24 season.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS ARE PRESENTED BY BETWAY

The Canucks opened the scoring in the first period. Conor Garland snuck behind Brett Kulak and tipped a pass from Elias Pettersson past Jack Campbell.
The Evan Bouchard and Darnell Nurse pairing got tagged in Vancouver’s second goal. Philippe De Giuseppe won the puck from Bouchard and J.T. Miller fed Brock Boeser out front and he wired a shot past Campbell to make the score 2-0.
A few minutes into the second period, Boeser buried a rebound for his second goal of the game.
Boeser completed the natural hat trick shortly after while the Canucks were on the power play. That was the end of the night for Jack Campbell, who allowed four goals on 16 shots.
The Oilers got on the board later in the second period with a power-play goal of their own from Leon Draisaitl.
The momentum from that goal was zapped pretty quickly as Elias Pettersson scored on the power play to make the score 5-1 in favour of Vancouver.
Boeser scored his fourth goal of the game in the third period. Quinn Hughes threw a puck on net from the point and Boeser was right on the doorstep for the easy tap-in rebound.
The Canucks added a couple more goals in the third period to run away with an 8-1 win. J.T. Miller and Dakota Joshua both scored their first goals of the season.
