The Edmonton Oilers reached 13 consecutive victories after a 3-1 win over the Flames in Calgary on Saturday night.
Ryan McLeod, Sam Gagner, and Zach Hyman scored for the Oilers, Stuart Skinner turned aside 26 of 27 shots, and Edmonton won despite no points from either Connor McDavid or Leon Draisaitl. Below are the highlights from the game.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS PRESENTED BY BETWAY

A couple of days after scoring what wound up being the game-winning goal against the Toronto Maple Leafs, Ryan McLeod opened the scoring in this edition of the Battle of Alberta with his ninth goal of the season. McLeod picked up the puck at Calgary’s blueline, pulled the puck between his legs, and then roofed a shot over Daniel Vladar to give the Oilers a 1-0 lead.
The Flames knotted the score at 1-1 in the second period. Blake Coleman, Andrew Mangiapane, and defenceman MacKenzie Weegar came up the ice on a three-on-one, and Coleman faked a long pass to Mangiapane before feeding Weegar in the slot. This wound up being the only goal that Stuart Skinner allowed in the game.
The Oilers regained their lead early in the third period. Sam Gagner picked up the puck behind Calgary’s net and tried to make a centring pass to Dylan Holloway, but it bounced off of a Flames defender and off of goaltender Daniel Vladar and into the net.
The Flames pulled their goalie for an extra attacker with a couple of minutes left on the clock and Zach Hyman sealed the deal with an empty net goal. Hyman won a race for a loose puck, carried it behind Calgary’s net, and wrapped it into the open cage to make the score 3-2.
