The Edmonton Oilers are now on a four-game losing streak following a 3-0 loss to the New York Rangers. Below are the highlights from the game.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS ARE PRESENTED BY BETWAY

Edmonton’s inability to keep the puck out of their own net has been a significant story early in the season and this huge save by Stuart Skinner late in the first period was a welcomed sight. Skinnier denied a Rangers 2-on-1 to keep the score locked at 0-0 at the end of the first frame.
Warren Foegele took a high-sticking penalty early in the second period and the Rangers capitalized on the power play opportunity. Artemi Panarin carried the puck into the zone and dropped it off for Vincent Trockeck who fed Adam Fox across the zone. Last year’s Norris Trophy runner-up wired a wrist shot past a diving Skinner to make the score 1-0.
The Rangers extended their lead to 2-0 later in the second period. Jimmy Vesey carried the puck into Edmonton’s zone and passed it back to the point for Braden Schneider. The defender barely kept the puck from going outside the blueline and then wired a shot over Skinner’s blocker side for his first goal of the season.
New York added another goal to make the score 3-0 before the end of the second period. Schneider fired the puck up ice for Panarin who fed Alexis Lafreniere for a one-timer that he fired past Skinner. The Rangers were able to move the puck up from their own blueline and get a quality chance on Edmonton’s net in a matter of six seconds. The way they moved the puck on Thursday night was impressive.
