GDB 19.0: A QUACK ATTACK?

Despite their best performance in a week, the Oilers couldn’t hold on to a 3-0 lead and lost to Phoenix on Friday. Tonight they face a Ducks team that has lost four in a row, two in OT, so one losing streak will come to an end. The Ducks won all four meetings last season and outscored the Oilers 20-9.
It is Movember, so the Oilers better be wary of the best stache in the league tonight. George Parros only had four goals last year, but three of them came against the Oilers. It’s like Parros is an ex-Oiler. According to Jim Matheson, MacIntyre hailed a cab a few hours before the game, so he might dress tonight to counter Parros. JF Jacques, Colin Fraser and Zack Stortini played well on Friday, so I’m not sure Renney will insert MacIntyre, but look for Gilbert Brule to return tonight.
The Oilers will face another former teammate tonight in Lubomir Visnovsky, and Visnovsky is having a great start to the season with three goals and 17 points. Robin Brownlee wrote about Visnvosky and how the Visnovsky/Whitney trade has worked out for both teams, but considering former Oilers have scored 14 goals (Torres 3, Cleary 3, Brodziak 2, Reasoner 2, Cole, Samsonov, Glencross and Pisani 1) v. the Oilers this year, they better pay special attention to Visnovsky.
GAME DAY PREDICTION: The Oilers losing streak reaches six with a 4-3 OT loss to the Ducks. Taylor Hall will have his first multi-goal game.
OBVIOUS GAME DAY PREDICTION: Devan Dubnyk will face 40 shots and stop 36 of them. For the fourth straight start he will get the Oilers to OT, but once again he won’t get the win. The Oilers will surrender two more PP goals and until they improve their PK they will continue to lose.
NOT-SO-OBVIOUS GAME DAY PREDICTION: During warmup Parros stops Sam Gagner at centre and gives him some tips on how to improve his stache. Steve MacIntyre thinks Parros is mocking Gagner and comes over to say something. Gagner tells MacIntyre to get lost and spends three minutes learning stache tips from Parros. Gagner is one of the first Oilers off the ice and when the game starts his Stache is thicker and darker and he even scores a goal. After scoring Randy Carlyle glares at Parros and forbids him to talk to any opposing players during warmup from now on.
