Inside the Nation: Should the Oilers claim Zykov? Will Rattie ever play again? Trade Talbot?

Welcome, friends, to yet another Thursday episode of your favourite Facebook Live show — Inside the Nation with Dustin Nielson! This week, Dusty previews tonight’s matchup with the LA Kings, Ty Rattie being voted off the island, and a whole lot more.

To start things off, Dusty gets into whether or not the Oilers should look at claiming Valentin Zykov off waivers from the Carolina Hurricanes. Is it worth the risk to improve the depth chart? Maybe. Next up, Nielson looks at the Oilers line combinations and whether or not he thinks a guy like Ty Rattie should get another look in the top six before making any further decisions on him. From there, Nielson gets into the goaltending controversy that’s brewing in Edmonton and whether or not it makes sense to have Cam Talbot on the trade block this early. Lastly, he gets into Jesse Puljujarvi being slotted in the top six and Frank Seravalli’s comments about Peter Chiarelli wanting to keep Bouchard around for 30+ games.
