Merry Christmas, Nation!

It’s Christmas morning and we just finished unwrapping presents at the Castle Milk, and since I had a minute, I wanted to pop on the site quickly to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas from all of us here at Oilersnation. No matter what you’re doing today or where you are in the world, I hope you’re enjoying the moment with the people who matter most to you.
If you’re lucky enough to have the day off, I hope you’re able to spend it doing whatever makes you happiest, even if that means telling me off in the comments section for my never-ending 4-2 score predictions. Despite the rollercoaster campaign we’re working through around here, it’s always a great time to talk about the Oilers with all of you, and I’m endlessly grateful that we get to do that every day. We may argue about contracts, line combinations, trades, contract values, and everything in between, but the site continues to grow year after year because of the incredible community that participates along with us. You, the Nation Citizens, are the reason for our success, and we very much appreciate you.
Even though we have no games to talk about for a couple of days, we still wanted to make sure that we’re giving you something to read whether it’s a holiday or not. It’s not lost on me how lucky we all are to do this for a living, and the only way that works is because of you. Whether you click on the articles, listen to our podcasts, buy merch or vacations, or any combination of the above, I wanted to say a quick thank you this morning because doing this job very much feels like a gift.
Now that I’ve said my sappy thank yous, I’m going to enjoy my bottle of Baileys and watch Elf followed by Die Hard because it’s without question a Christmas movie. From there, I plan to eat everything in sight before eventually crashing for a glorious afternoon nap. Have a wonderful day off, everyone. I hope you get to enjoy a break from real life and spend your day off just the way you want it. Merry Christmas and thank you for everything!
