Merry Christmas, Nation!

From all of us at Oilersnation, I wanted to take a minute to quickly write something to wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas.

Regardless of what you’re doing on this fine Christmas morning, I hope that all of you are spending the day doing whatever it is that you want. Whether that’s hanging out with/avoiding your family, playing with the new toys that Santa dropped under your tree, or crushing Baileys and coffee I am right now, I wanted to extend a very Merry Christmas to all of you. Needless to say, it’s been another wild start to the season complete with all kinds of ups and downs, and the rollercoaster ride of being an Oilers fan wouldn’t be nearly as much fun without all of you guys. Sure, we may argue and find ourselves miffed by the odd opinions of complete strangers, but no matter what, we’re all in this thing together and for that I’m grateful. You guys are the straw that stirs the drink around here and I wanted to make sure to recognize it this morning.

Now, if you’ll excuse me I’m going to make more coffee, finish off this bottle of Baileys and watch Die Hard, which is, of course, a Christmas movie. Have a wonderful day off, Nation! I hope that you’re having an excellent break from real life and enjoying your time off, and we’ll see you back here for the start of the World Juniors tournament tomorrow.
