Oilers release 17-18 schedule

Hidden through the flurry of an expansion draft and a Jordan Eberle trade, the NHL and the Edmonton Oilers released the schedule for 2017-2018.
The Oilers season will kick off with a home opener against the Calgary Flames in the Battle of Alberta on Wednesday, October 4th.
A matchup against the Vegas Golden Knights on November 14 will mark the Oilers first game against the fresh franchise right after they come home from a four-game road trip.
That trip will begin on November 7 when the Oilers meet Jordan Eberle and the New York Islanders for the first time.
For Edmonton, there will be two-five game road trips, te longest of their season.
The first will occur between November 18 until November 26 playing games against the Stars, Blues, Red Wings, Sabres and Bruins.
One will occur between January 6 and 13 playing five games against the Stars, Blackhawks, Predators, Coyotes and Golden Knights.
Three five-games homestands will happen at Rogers Place this season between October 26 and November 5, January 20 and February 5 and finally March 1 and March 10.
The Oilers will play 22 Saturday games, seven of which will occur during the day.
This season the Oilers play 29 games against other Pacific Division squads. The team will play four games against the Ducks, Coyotes, Kings, Sharks, Canucks and Golden Knights and will play five games against the Calgary Flames.
32 times this year the Oilers will meet Eastern Conference teams playing each team twice in a home and away series.
The season will wrap up with a home matchup against the Vancouver Canucks on April 8 against the Vancouver Canucks.
