The Bets of the Day is brought to you by NHL odds site Betway!
Welcome back to another edition of the Betway Bets of the day.
Our first bet of the day will be taking Steven Stamkos to take o3.5 shots on goal. This line sits at -105.
In the betting world, sometimes you have to take value when it’s presented to you. There’s no way about it. That’s why we’re backing the over on Stamkos’ shot prop tonight. Stamkos leads the Lightning in shots on goal firing 50 in 12 games this year averaging 4.16 on net per game.
Stamkos has hit this prop in eight of 12 games this season, but has missed it in three of his last four games. Tonight’s a great get-right spot for him. The Oilers have struggled defensively this year allowing 34.46 shots per 60, the sixth-worst rate in the league.

Our second bet of the day will be taking Tage Thompson to take over 3.5 shots on goal. This line sits at +100.
We’ve backed Thompson on this prop once before, but I have a feeling he’s going to repay us tonight. He’s been an interesting player this year, to say the least. He leads the Sabres in shots with 47 in 12 games, but he’s had three huge outlier games of eight shots, eight shots and nine shots. Otherwise, he’s got 22 shots in nine games.
That being said, this is a great spot for Thompson tonight up against the Arizona Coyotes, who allow 36.97 shots per 60, the second-worst rate in the league.
Record: 29-20 (+8.29u)
